Albert E. Chaplain

Albert E. Chaplain, 81, formerly of Ridgway, died on Friday, July 12, 2024, at Elk Haven Nursing Home following a lengthy illness.

He was born on December 1, 1942, the son of the late Chester and Louise Chaplain. 

He married the late Clara Ann Chaplain, who preceded in death on July 8, 2000.

Albert was a resident of Elk County for most of his life and served in the U.S Army. He worked many years in the oil fields and Stackpole, later working as a forester. Albert was a member of the American Legion and VFW. He enjoyed reading, fishing, and hunting.

He is survived by 5 children: Cindy Dolan and her husband Roger of Kane, Anthony Chaplain and his girlfriend Teresa Bauer of Ridgway, Andy Chaplain and his girlfriend Trisha VanAlstine of Ridgway, Brian Chaplain and his wife Summer of Johnsonburg, and George Chaplain of Penfield, 10 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother, Harry Chaplain.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Mary Lou Chaplain and Grace Lukaschunis, and a brother, Robert Chaplain.

Funeral Services for Albert E. Chaplain will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
