Bonnie L. Hoffman, 76, of Bear Creek Road, Ridgway passed away at her home, surrounded by her family on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, from a long battle with dementia and a short battle with cancer.
She was born on November 23, 1946, in Ridgway, a daughter to the late J. Arthur and Mary Clark Johnson.
On October 15, 1994, she married the love of her life, Wayne Hoffman, of Ridgway.
Bonnie was a 1964 graduate of Ridgway Area High School. She was employed by several places throughout her life including Grant’s Department Store, Exotic Metals, Clarion Sintered Metals, The Thoughtfulness Shop, USA Today, Goodwill, Sheetz, The Ridgway Record, and Allegheny Coatings.
Bonnie was a gentle, caring, and very generous soul with an immense love for her family and all animals, especially her dog Chloe. She was a member of the Protestant Church of Christ with a deep devotion to the lord.
Bonnie was the biggest Rolling Stones fan in the world and went to many Stones concerts. Mick Jagger was her favorite musician and she had to tell everyone she met. She had an extensive Rolling Stones t-shirt collection and wore them every day.
In addition to her husband of nearly 29 years, she is survived by 2 daughters, Greta (Fred) Challingsworth and Marcella Martino, all from Ridgway, 2 stepchildren, Andrea (Brandon) Eggett of Utah and Luke (Debbie) Hoffman of Ridgway, 11 grandchildren: Damian, Alexia, Mallory, Sebastian, Bailey, Matthew, Hope, Lindsey, Avonlee, Johathan, and Josie, and 3 great grandchildren: Dominic, Dimitri, and Raelyn. She is also survived by 4 siblings: Melvin (Millie) Johnson of Ridgway, Beverly (Dale) Ellis of Sigel, Dorothy (Jim) Nagle of Ridgway, and Cathy Philips of Pittsburgh, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Marie Johnson, 2 nieces, Gina Ellis and Hannah Johnson, and 3 nephews; Joe Ellis, Jeffery Ellis, and Kris Phillip.
Funeral Services for Bonnie L. Hoffman will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Krise Funeral Home, 130 Center Street, Ridgway, PA 15853, with Rev. Ron Burkett officiating.
Family and friends will be received on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at Krise Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
Memorial contributions may be made to Ridgway Animal Haven or Elk County Humane Society.
