Carrie L. Hildersheim

Carrie L. Hildersheim, 36, of Coal Hollow Road, Kersey, passed away suddenly on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at her home.

She was born on August 6, 1986 in St. Marys, PA, a daughter of John and Sandy Uber Miller, who survive of Kersey.

On July 30, 2011, in Toby Methodist Church, she married Charles "Chuck" Hildersheim, who survives.

Carrie was a graduate of St. Marys Area High School, class of 2004.  She worked as the Brockway Veterinary Clinic for a number of years, and also worked part-time at Goodwill and TDK in Kersey.  Carrie had a great love for all animals, especially horses.  One of her greatest passions was horse riding and training, and she loved nothing more than sharing her knowledge with young kids who were learning to ride.  She was active in 4-H for many years, and was also a volunteer for Cub Scouts.  Carrie was a loving daughter, wife, and mother who will be remembered for her kindness, being a friend to all, and for her smile that lit up a room.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her beloved son; Leland Hildersheim.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents; John and Janet Miller, and her maternal grandparents; Robert and Hazel Uber.

Funeral Services for Carrie L. Hildersheim will be held on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Krise Funeral Home, 339 Main Street, Kersey, PA.

Visitation will be at the Krise Funeral Home in Kersey on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 from 9:00 AM until the time of the services.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Stride for Stride 4-H Riding Club.
