Jack L. McMinn, 92, formally of Ridgway, died on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at Pinecrest Manor following a brief illness.
He was born on June 26, 1932, in Ridgway, the son of the late Harry and Kathryn Himes McMinn.
Jack proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, a commitment that reflected his deep sense of duty and honor. After his military service, he embarked on a remarkable career as a truck driver, working in the transportation industry until the impressive age of 87. He was a devout member of the Brady Camp Methodist Church and the Ridgway VFW.
He is survived by 2 daughters, Sandy Kline and her husband Tom and Ruth Lilja and her husband John, all of Kersey, 6 grandchildren: Sonya, Brian (Jackie), Scott (Amanda), Kylee (Dustin), Amy, and Chuck (Brandy), 14 great grandchildren; Nick, Justin, Renae, Jenna, Scott , Luke, Thomas, Dakota, Jaxon, Karah, Helayna, Waylen, Joseph, and Melonie, and 2 great great grandchildren, Kinsley and Kohen. He is also survived by 2 sisters, Betty Pifer of South Carolina and Barbara Matheson and her husband Wayne of Ohio, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Joan Irwin, a brother, Ronny “Chick” McMinn, and 2 brothers-in-law, Richard Irwin and Jay Pifer.
A Celebration of Life for Jack McMinn will be announced at a later date.
