Judith Ann Krise

Judith Ann Nordstrom Krise, age 79, of 1493 Montmorenci Rd, Ridgway, died Saturday, October 30, 2021, at the home of her daughter, Anne Brennan, in Midland, Michigan, after an extended illness.

She was born on September 7, 1942, in Ridgway, a daughter of the late Orrin and Helen Josephson Nordstrom.

On July 31,1960, in Ridgway, she married the late Kenneth M. Krise. They were married for 58 years.

Judy was a lifelong resident of Ridgway and graduated from Ridgway High School. She was Lutheran by faith and became a member of St. Leos Catholic Church while raising her family. Judy worked at IPM, Ridgway School District, Elk Regional, and several medical offices. She enjoyed reading, going to the Ridgway Library, and going for walks around Ridgway and Rails to Trails. Judy had a special place in her heart for all animals, but especially cats. She loved to spend time with, and caring for, her family and friends. She was a happy person with a great sense of humor and could always bring laughter to any conversation. Judy always had a kind word for everyone and was always willing to help others. Her greatest joy was raising her three children, and she loved them so very much.

She is survived by a son, Ken “Alan” Krise and Stacey Grazioli of Ridgway, a daughter, Anne Brennan and her husband Dave of Midland, MI, 5 grandchildren; Katie (Shawn) Geci, Diana (Tim) Newell, Kelly (Sam) Szaroletta, Elena Brennan, and Matthew Brennan, and 5 great-grandchildren; Shawn Geci, Jr., Maria Geci, Landon Newell, Oliva Newell, Xander Szaroletta. She is also survived by a brother, Gary Nordstrom and his wife Nachiko of Ridgway, and 2 nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter Marsha Krise, and a brother, Ronald Nordstrom.

Funeral Service for Judith Ann Krise will be held Saturday, November 6, 2021, at 10:00 AM at Krise Funeral Home, 130 Center Street, Ridgway, Pa, 15853 with Rev. Justin P. Pino, Pastor, St. Leos Church, officiating.

Burial will follow at Oakmont Cemetery.

Visitation will be at Krise Funeral Home on Friday, November 5, 2021, 5:00 PM- 8:00 PM.
