Kathryn R. Wittman

Kathryn R. Wittman, 98, formerly of Dagus Mines, passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at Pinecrest Manor following a lengthy illness. 

She was born on September 15, 1925 in Johnsonburg, a daughter of the late Lawrence and Katherine Mandot Fitch. 

On February 16, 1957, she married the late Vern R. Wittman, who preceded her in death on August 8, 2000. Together they shared more than 43 years of marriage.

Kathryn was a lifelong member of St. Boniface Church and retired from Powdered Metal Products after many years of service.

She is survived by one son; Lawrence Wittman of Dagus Mines, and by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

In addition to her parents and her husband, Kathryn was preceded in death by two sisters; Edna Erickson and Eleanor Vollmer, and by four brothers; Walter, Allen, Lawrence, Jr., and Frederick Fitch. She was the last member of her immediate family.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Kathryn R. Wittman will be celebrated on Monday, October 30, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St. Boniface Church, 355 Main Street, Kersey, PA 15846 with Rev. Thomas Curry, OSB, as celebrant. 
Burial will follow in the St. Boniface Cemetery in Kersey.

Visitation will be held at the Krise Funeral Home in Kersey on Monday, October 30, 2023 from 9:30-10:30 AM. 

Memorial Contributions may be made to Pinecrest Manor Activities Fund.
