Linda L. Heigel, 72, of 352 Main Street Kersey, Pa, died Sunday March 21, 2021, at Penn Highland Dubois after a lengthy illness.
She was born on November 28, 1948, a daughter of the late Charles and Katherine Dinsmore Johnston.
On June 21, 1969, she married George Heigel, who survives.
Linda was a lifelong resident of Kersey and a graduate of St. Mary’s High School. Linda loved the outdoors, traveling with her husband, and going to camp. Many nights, Linda could be found sitting on her porch listening to her “oldies” music. Linda never missed the chance to spend time with her grandchildren and going to family gathering. Linda loved to be riding on her ranger, specially on the “Good Friday” ride.
In addition to her husband of more than 50 years, she is survived by a daughter, Stacy Faulk of Imperial Pa, one son; George Heigel and his wife Rhonda of Kersey, 6 grandchildren; Grace, Nicholas, Jackson, Aleena, Saige, and Amelia, and one great grandson, Lucas. She is also survived by 2 sisters, Cindy Detsch and Judy Marchori, and 2 brothers, Gordon Johnston and Richard Johnston, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one sister, Ann Krise, 2 brothers, Michael Johnston and Harry Koss, and a son -in-law, Scott Faulk.
A Small Memorial Service for the family of Linda L. Heigel, will be held on Friday, March 26, 2021, at 1:00 PM at Krise Funeral Home, 130 Center Street, Ridgway, Pa 15853 with Rev. David Foradori, officiating.
There will be no visitation.
