Lucille Malin

Lucille Malin, 103, of South Street, Ridgway, Pa died peacefully at her home on Monday, July 25, 2022.  

She was born on September 20, 1918, in West Hickory, PA, a daughter of the late Nicholas and Christine DeMatteo Carvino.

On July 7, 1934, she married the late George W. Malin, who preceded her in death in 1992.

Lucy was a member of St. Leo’s Church.  Always caring and compassionate, she enjoyed taking care of others, having cared for many people over the years.  Giving much to others over the years, in turn they received love and a lifelong family bond.  Many still kept in touch with Lucy, and she will be fondly remembered for her kindness and generosity.  Having been very close to her family, she loved nothing more than spending time with them.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her son; William Malin, by three brothers; John, Tony, and Jim Carvino, and by three sisters; Marge Scolese, Carmella Mead, and Theresa Bullers.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Lucille Malin will be celebrated on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St. Leo Magnus Church, 111 Depot Street, Ridgway, PA 15853 with Father Justin Pino, Pastor celebrating.

Burial will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery.

There will be no public visitation.
