Michael J. Curley, 54, of Kersey, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 8, 2023 at Penn Highlands Elk.
He was born on September 1, 1969 in St. Marys, a son of the Richard and Dorothy Boring Curley.
Mike was a lifelong resident of Kersey and attended St. Marys Area Schools. He worked at Eastern Sintered Alloys for more than 30 years. He greatly enjoyed sports, especially the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Yankees. He also enjoyed the outdoors, going on long car rides on Saturdays, and had a special place in his heart for his two cats, Molly and Pujols. He looked forward to spending time and drinking tea with special neighbors who were more like family, Charlie and Bonnie Agosti. Most of all, he loved his family with his whole heart and will be remembered for the silly jokes he used to tell, always laughing at himself. He loved music of all kinds, and never turned down a chance to go for a walk to the park with his daughters. Mike could often be found looking at the sky, always enjoying the stars at night. He adored his family, and his passing has left a tremendous hole in the hearts of his family and friends, and he will be missed immensely.
Mike is survived by his life companion of 17 years, Heather DeLong of Kersey, by four daughters; Nichelle Curley of St. Marys, Andrea Curley of St. Marys, Josey Curley of Kersey, and Michaela Curley, at home; and by two grandchildren; Julian and Navin. He is also survived by four siblings; Diane Palmer of Indiana, PA, David Curley of Kersey, Paul Curley of Colorado Springs, and Stephen (Yvonne) Curley of St. Marys, as well as by
numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by three siblings; Richard Curley, Beverly Pasi, and Elisabeth "Nancy" Crawford.
