Robert J. Ewing Jr.

Robert J. Ewing Jr., 62, of St. Marys passed away on Friday, October 25, 2024 at Penn Highlands Elk, following a brief illness.

Robert was born on September 12, 1962, in Ridgway, to the late Robert J. Ewing Sr.

Robert was employed as a machinist for many years and greatly enjoyed what he did. He was very mechanically minded and was a jack-of-all-trades. He could do anything from working on car engines to building houses. One of Robert's favorite hobbies was researching his family history. He had built up a family tree that went all the way back to the early 1400s. He also enjoyed flying drones and going for rides on his electric bike.

He is survived by an aunt; Mary Ann Abplanalp of Austin TX, and by 2 cousins; Andrew (Amanda) Abplanalp of Ridgway, and Karen (John) Marburger of Austin TX. He is also survived by numerous second cousins.

In addition to his father, Robert was preceded in death by a sister; June Marie Ewing in infancy, by an aunt; Elizabeth Gausman, and by 2 uncles; Alfred Gausman, and Leon "Rocky" Abplanalp.

Funeral services for Robert J. Ewing Jr. will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Krise Funeral Home, 130 Center Street, Ridgway, PA 15853.

Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at the Krise Funeral Home, from 12:00 PM until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers or memorial contributions, the family asks that everyone keeps Robert in their thoughts and prayers.
