Ruth M. Dickant, 90, of 226 Amacher Road, Ridgway, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at her home after a brief illness.
She was born on March 12, 1931, in Ridgway, a daughter of the late Henry Ulrich and Katherine Fisher Amacher.
On July 12, 1958, she married Thomas M. Dickant, Sr. who preceded her in death March 9, 2008.
Ruth resided in Ridgway all her life and was a graduate of Ridgway High School. She was a former member of the Faith United Church of Christ and a current member of The Halton Church. She enjoyed working on puzzles, reading books, spending time with her family, especially her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She also found great happiness in being able to attend church each week and loved supporting her church community through her preparation of sandwiches for the congregation.
Ruth is survived by 3 daughters: Tina Konen and her husband Marlin, Dana Caggiano and her husband Stephen, and Tracy Dickant, all of Ridgway, one son, Thomas Dickant, Jr. and his wife Carol of Ridgway. She is also survived and adored by three grandsons; Matthew (Courtney) Dickant of Perry Hall, Md, Dereck Konen, and Kyle Caggiano, both of Ridgway, two granddaughters; Alexis Konen (Fiancé, Seth Peterson) of Johnsonburg, and Sierra Caggiano of Ridgway, two great-grandchildren; Matthew, Jr., and Benjamin Dickant, one adopted great grandson, Oscar Perdomo, 2 godchildren; Terry Klawuhn and Susie Wonderly, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by 2 sisters; Margaret Shelander, and Helen Amacher, 4 brothers; Walter, George, Robert, and Ralph Amacher and a set of twins in infancy.
A Funeral Service for Ruth M. Dickant will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at Krise Funeral Home, 130 Center Street, Ridgway, PA 15853 with Rev. Ron Burkett officiating.
Interment will be at Park Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be at Krise Funeral Home on Monday, May 3, 2021 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM.
