Stephanie E. Krise

April 15, 1962 — December 29, 2021

Stephanie E. Krise, 59, of Portland Mills Road, Ridgway, died peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 following a battle with cancer.

She was born on April 15, 1962 in Ridgway, a daughter of Jack and Martha Walls Overbeck, who survive of Ridgway.

On January 17, 1987, she married Randolph “Randy” Krise, who survives of Ridgway.

Stephanie was a graduate of Ridgway High School, class of 1980, and worked for many years at American Axel.

With a true servant’s heart, Stephanie was a friend to everyone she met and never had a bad word to say about anyone. Always meticulous about her home, she could often be found caring for her lawn or sitting on the porch enjoying a can of beer.

She loved get-togethers with her mom, sisters, and friends, and always enjoyed a float down the river. Years ago, she also enjoyed playing volleyball with friends.

Most of all, Steph cherished her family and her grandchildren. She loved her family with her whole heart, always with an ear to listen and a sound word of advice for her kids. Her lap was always ready to hold one of her grandchildren, and she loved nothing more than having her grandkids visit or spend the night. Whether baking cookies with them or fishing in the pond, one of her greatest treasures in the world were her grandkids. With her kind heart, gentle demeanor, and contagious smile, Steph’s legacy will live on in the hearts of her family.

In addition to her parents, Jack and Martha Overbeck, and her husband, Randy Krise, she is survived by three children; Angela Cunningham and her husband Jessie of Kersey, Roy Krise and his wife Michelle of St. Marys, and Tiffany Gausman and her husband Kurt of Punxsutawney and her beloved grandchildren; Cole, Ava, Alex, Marcus, Vincent, Violet, Benjamin, Julia, Rosalie, and Clara. She is also survived by four siblings; Michelle Bogacki, Sonya (Jeff) Marzella, and Jacqueline (Tom) Kucenski, all of Ridgway, and Jack (Jamie) Overbeck of Brockway. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, including Heidi Steger and Ian Kucenski, who were special to her.
