Susan J. Davido

Susan J. Davido, 80, of Ridgway, passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at Penn Highlands Elk.

She was born on June 15, 1944, in Ridgway, the daughter of the late John D. and Mary Jane Lipsey Hrusth.

On October 15, 1966, at St. Leo Church, she married Ronald Davido, who survives.

Susan was a devoted member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church, where her faith and commitment to community service shone brightly. A dedicated nurse, Susan spent many years serving as a caregiver, exemplifying her unwavering dedication to helping others.

Susan enjoyed life’s simple pleasures, finding joy in reading, crafting, and engaging in spirited games of dominos and cards. She cherished the laughter and warmth of family gatherings, where her grandchildren could always count on her for love, encouragement, and countless memories. Her heart was always drawn to nature, especially the hummingbirds that danced outside her window, reminding her of the beauty that surrounded her.

In addition to her husband of more than 58 years, she is survived by 3 children: Stephen Davido and his wife Cammie of Pittsburgh, Melissa Hankin and her husband Mark of Bethel Park, and Bryan Davido and his wife Marilou of Milwaukee, WI, and 6 grandchildren: Danielle, Dominic, Chris, Rachel, Luca, and Eva.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Connie Malo, and a brother, Jack Hrusth.

A Memorial Service for Susan J. Davido will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at 11:00 AM at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 331 South Street, Ridgway, PA, 15853, with lay minister Mimi Laughner officiating.

Family and friends will be received on Saturday, December 14, at First Lutheran Church, from 10:00 until the time of service.
